Current regulations in the Ozone Transportation Commission (OTC) states will eliminate the ability to use non-compliant VOC products such as Sure-Seal® EP-95 and Sure-White® splicing cements beginning January 1, 2012.
Based on the OTC states' regulations and the demand for longer-term warranties, Carlisle will no longer allow adhesive splices for any warranted roof projects as of December 31, 2011. Beginning January 1, 2012 contractors must use either SecurTape™ or Factory-Applied Tape (FAT™) to receive a warranty for Carlisle's EPDM roofing systems regardless of the warranty term.
Listed below are the tape products required for inclusion in Carlisle's warranties:
5-, 10- and 15-year Warranties
- 300465 – Sure-Seal 3" SecurTape
- 303260 – Sure-White 3" SecurTape
- Minimum of 3" FAT
20-year Warranties
- 302952 – Sure-Seal 6" SecurTape
- 317501 – Sure-White 6" SecurTape
- Minimum of 3" FAT
25- and 30-year Warranties
- 302952 – Sure-Seal 6" SecurTape
- 317501 – Sure-White 6" SecurTape
- Minimum of 6" FAT
